People were very friendly. They were also realistic about what was good and what is not so good in Cuba. The architecture is wonderful it due to lack of funds unfortunately many buildings are very run down. Food was excellent. Our guide was great. Very knowledgeable and her English is excellent. We got to see a wide variety of cultural aspects of Cuba. There were no problems on this tour.

Cuban people are extremely friendly and nice. The entire group totally enjoyed their trip it was nothing that they expected. Probably Trinidad and the Soviet Trucks in the mountains. This was my 4th trip to Cuba. The food is getting better and better you can definitely tell a difference between a state-run restaurant in a private restaurant. I definitely prefer the private restaurants.

It is a beautiful country with the kindest people I have ever encountered. They welcome everyone with open arms. The beauty of nature and how helpful everyone was to best provide a great experience.

Remarkable and memorable. Despite years of limited access to modern technology, everyone I met commented on great a life they had. Everyone was warm and friendly. The tour was organized with daily activities, but also plenty of time to explore on our own. Dan and Josh’s relationship’s with the people we visited and dined with made it a great trip. While Old Havana is definitely a place you have to visit, the quality of the Ambos Mundos hotel and conditions around there were somewhat doleful. It did, however, set the bar low, so the time in Nogales and Hotel Nacional was terrific.

Lovely, warm and endearing people. The tour also varied in scope so we were able to in a short time get to see and know about the island, its history, its struggles and correlate that with actual places. We saw that with all its purely economic problems the people are proud and resilient. LOVED it. We were very fortunate in that I cannot imagine getting a better tour guide the one we had – Yailem Hernandez. She was absolutely the BEST. Extremely knowledgeable, personable and patient, especially when you have a group of diverse people with different needs and wants and questions. We were lucky that we had a GREAT group and again, Yailem was an ace. She is definitely a treasure and an asset to Cuba Explorer. I would be nitpicking if I made any negative comments.

The tour did not skimp on anything. I learned a lot, saw a lot, and got a good feel for Cuba and its people and culture. I definitely want to return there and I am telling my friends and family they should all pay a visit to Cuba!
My impressions were only positive. I found the Cuban people to be friendly towards Americans, and happy to see us and wanting to talk with us. They seem to find joy in living every day with what was available to them. The fabulous music brings people together too and it’s so nice to see people dancing together and just having a good time. I felt comfortable from day 1 and it lasted until I got on the plane to return to the USA. It’s interesting how they used American influences for buildings ( an art museum in Havana) and streets, even having a 5th Avenue like in NYC. I was impressed with much of what I saw, and it was nice to see there are renovations going on.
Being the first time I traveled on my own (even though I was with a tour group with four others), I was a little nervous about it. Rosa, the tour guide, upon meeting her, I felt relaxed and knew this was going to be a great week, and after meeting the four others in the group, that also reassured me. Rosa was wonderful. I found her to be extremely friendly, knowledgeable, passionate about Cuba and its people and also the USA. She was friendly, warm, funny, and had a very pleasant personality. She was always concerned that we were enjoying ourselves. I loved everything we did, the meals were wonderful, the ambiance at all the restaurants, the wait staff, and the presentation of the food, and the flavors. From drinks to appetizers, to the entrees, and desserts, everything was delicious.
I was not looking forward to the long ride to Trinidad but it ended up being enjoyable. We stopped along the way, we watched documentaries on Cuba, Rosa was constantly educating us. I loved our few days at the resort in Trinidad and always walking through the town. I found the guided tour through the museum in Havana to be wonderful. The art was beautiful, the revolutionary museum was quite a learning experience for me, and I very much enjoyed the lecture on Cuban music. Of course, my favorite was hearing Cuban musicians. I couldn’t get enough of that! I wish I had more time to go to bars that locals go to and listen to music in the evening. Next time I’m there, I plan to. I loved staying so close to the Malecón. When we returned to the hotel late afternoon, I would always go for a walk along it. I loved the scenery.

Kind and gracious people. Their culture is loving and kind, and they great pride in their country, and being good stewards of our earth. My favorite parts were meeting people, and the organic farm. Would like more time to explore and shop in Old Havana.

We loved Cuba and think a lot of Americans are missing out if they don’t visit. We felt so comfortable and safe in Cuba. The people were so friendly and it is a unique culture, we loved the music and all of the art. The hotel Capri was very nice and all of the food during the tour was excellent. Transportation and our driver were excellent as well. Our tour guide Cynthia was the best! She is so nice and knowledgeable and made everyone feel so comfortable in Cuba. My favorite part was artist Jose Fuster’s house and my husbands favorite was the Rum Museum.
No complaints or suggestions. Everything went very smoothly.

The trip was seamless and smooth. Cuba was a beautiful place and I feel so special that I had the privilege to visit. My family and I loved Cuba. The people were proud, friendly, helpful and loving. Everyone that I met was friendly and full of life. Smiles were greeting everywhere I went and I always felt safe and comfortable. The history presentation and discussion led by the Cuban professor was enlightening.
What made the tour amazing was the people I got to share it with along with our incredible tour guide Yaelim. I can’t express enough how incredible she was. From the moment she met us at the airport to the moment she said goodbye to us at the airport I felt like we were in the care of a special person. She was so incredibly knowledgeable and constantly filled us with information. Yaelim was also personable, funny, charming and very down to earth. We were lucky to have her as our guide and she help bond us as a tour group. As long as you have our tour guide, there are no improvements needed, Yailem was fantastic in every way possible.

Cuba is a beautiful country that has a vibrant culture. Everyone was super nice. Havana was the best part of the tour, I could have stayed in Havana the entire trip. The food was excellent, and I would have loved to visit more restaurants. Furthermore, this trip and the tour just scratched the surface of what Havana has to offer. I would love to go back and tour Havana much more in-depth.

We loved Cuba the people and the culture. We learned so much from our tour. We had a wonderful time. The Havana history and the people and our tour guide and driver were absolutely wonderful.

I was very impressed by how friendly and welcoming the people of Cuba are. They shared their feelings, family histories, and aspirations. It was a pleasure to meet so many people that truly loved their country and wanted the best for visitors. I liked the combination of history and contemporary activities. While we seem overwhelmed by the Revolution, I must confess I had no idea of Cuban history from 1900 to 1962. The things I learned were a revelation.
I wish we had more time at the beach. It was a sunny afternoon but already late in the day when we arrived at the seaside resort. The next day there was rain and we left on the third day, so our only chance to play on the beach was barely a late afternoon.

Wonderful trip and I can’t wait to come back. Beautiful history and architecture and the people are awesome. Loved our tour guide and driver. They went above and beyond. The enthusiasm, knowledge, and love for Cuba we were shown from our tour guide truly made this the best trip.

Fantastic opportunity to personally meet the Cubans on a 1:1 basis and come in contact with people and organizations that I would not normally think of meeting. Our activities were not rushed and very flexible at the same time. Dan, Josh, and Sandor were outstanding in giving our tour a VERY personable experience. Our guide Sandor was VERY informative and Authentic and passionate about his country and his people! I am already saving and planning another tour in 2018!
EVERYTHING! Our tour leaders were fun and passionate about making our trip a memorable experience. The restaurants were superb! The people we met were interesting and varied and REAL Cuban people! Sandor our tour leader is an expert in knowledge about his country, it’s history and culture. Hotels were more than adequate. Our last hotel, The Hotel Nacional de Cuba was the perfect compliment to the end of our tour experience! The hotel was amazing, the grounds beautiful and the history amazing! I can’t imagine going on any other Cuban tour other that this memorable experiences provided by Dan and Josh!

Cuba has so many beautiful areas and her people make it an even more beautiful country. Cuban culture is such an interesting melange of various ethnic mores, attitudes, and musical backgrounds. They are inspiring in their efforts to do more with such limited resources. Las Terrazas was my favorite excursion, the results of successful reforestation. We received detailed explanations of the different plants and flowers, some of which have medicinal qualities. The natural beauty was breathtaking. Mariana (tour guide) and Rafael (driver) were incredibly kind, thorough, on-time, and ensured our safe and knowledgeable travels.
